Living this close to the St. Joe's campus means you’ll spend more time having fun and less time getting there. And there’s so much to do in Philly whether you’re on a budget or got money to burn.

It is an exciting time to live in the City Avenue neighborhood. New retail stores (psst! we’ve got a new Super Target) and longtime retail establishments, such as Saks Fifth Avenue, mean residents at The Legacy at Drexel Arms enjoy a vibrant retail corridor right in their backyard.

Take a stroll down City Avenue and you will find an endless number of enticing restaurants. Student-friendly food establishments, such as Honeygrow, Starbucks, Chipotle, Cosi, and Corner Bakery, dominate the area. Other essentials – think of the Apple store and Whole Foods – are also nearby.

Residents of The Legacy at Drexel Arms will find that one of the many benefits of off-campus living is the opportunity to meet students from other schools. Make friends at one of the five nearby universities, which include Villanova, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Head into Center City to see all of the arts and culture Philadelphia offers. Take in a theater production or concert at The Kimmel Center, The Academy of Music, The Wilma Theater, The Walnut Street Theatre, The Forrest Theatre or The Suzanne Roberts Theater. Check out the exhibits at The Barnes Museum, The Franklin Institute, and The Philadelphia Museum of Art. (Most cultural destinations in Philadelphia offer student discounts, so be sure to take advantage!)

Pump your fists at one of the many indie music venues that dot the city. Explore the haunts along South Street. Take in the sights of Old City. Soak up the rays in Fairmount Park. Window shop along Walnut Street. It’s all there waiting for you, just a short bus ride or drive from your new home at The Legacy at Drexel Arms.
